Action for Happiness
Action for Happiness is a movement for positive social change. We're bringing together people from all walks of life who want to play a part in creating a happier society for everyone.
For fifty years we've aimed relentlessly at higher incomes. But despite being much wealthier, we're no happier than we were five decades ago. At the same time we've seen an increase in wider social issues, including a worrying rise in anxiety and depression in young people. It's time for a positive change in what we mean by progress.

No wonder they're smiling after the hard work and fun times!
All smiles after months of hard work and enjoyable times during the Junior Wardens programme in 2010.
Junior Wardens receiving their ASDAN certificates and John Muir Discovery Awards at a presentation evening recently.
The young people have taken part in clean-ups, community gardening, beach cleans as well as fun and educational visits to Furness Abbey, Roanhead and more.
No wonder they're all smiling.
More smiles from the Mayor and Mayoress of Barrow who presented the John Muir Award certificates to the young people on the night.
Everyone looks happy and a great night was had by all - keep smiling.
